My name is Kristina, I’m 34 and have had psoriasis since I was 20 years old.
I’m not a writer, my worst subject is English/Writing. So do not expect proper grammar or sentence structure for me. Spell check is my best friend.
I decided to write a blog to chronicle my experiment. Not only will it hopefully hold me more accountable, but my memory sucks sometimes. This will not be a daily food diary but I may reference what I ate that day.
I don’t think anyone but me will read this, but if you are I hope it helps you in some way.
Day 0 – July 18th, 2018 – 11:30 P.M.
Tomorrow I start my 60 day juice cleanse. I will attempt to not eat any actual food, but instead only consume vegetable and fruit juice. Trying to keep to the 80% veggie 20% fruit ratio.
I have done a juicing cleanse before but never this long. I am inspired by Joe Cross and his journey to use juice to heal is autoimmune disease. I’m hoping it will work for me. I’m hoping juicing will give my body a jolt of nothing but nutrients to clean out all the toxins that are built up in my system. My previous attempt lasted about 15 days, and I noticed a significant difference in my psoriasis outbreaks. … but can I keep it up for as long as I need to?
Currently, my psoriasis is bad. The helmet of scale on my scalp is itchy, hard, and seeps. I also have psoriasis arthritis and currently my left hip, knee, and shoulder are stiff and painful. Sleeping at night is very uncomfortable currently. I have psoriasis under my breasts that tear, and I am all around uncomfortable and agitated. My current state of mind is set on the task ahead for tomorrow, but I’m not looking forward to all things I will not be able to do socially because of this journey.
People say I’m nuts for trying this, but I have to try. Wish me luck, and good night.
